Knitting stitches together

This can be used anywhere on a row to knit 2 or more stitches together. The examples shown here demonstrate 2 stitches being knit together in order to decrease 1 stitch.

Knit 2 together creates a slope to the right on the face of the fabric.

l Work to where you need to decrease. Insert the tip of the right needle knitwise into the front of the first 2 stitches on the left needle.

Knit 2 together through the back of the loop creates a slope to the left on the face of the fabric.

l Work to where you need to decrease. Insert the tip of the right needle knitwise into the back of the first 2 stitches on the left needle.

l Work to where you need to decrease. Insert the tip of the right needle knitwise into the front of the first 2 stitches on the left needle.

2 Knit the 2 stitches together as if they were a single stitch. You have now decreased i stitch.
