Skpo (slip 1, knit 1, pass slipped stitch over) is a method of decreasing that is often used when making lace holes. It creates a slope to the left on the face of the fabric.
1 Insert the tip of the right needle knitwise into the first stitch on the left needle and slip the stitch from the left to the right needle without working it.
2 Knit the next stitch on the left needle in the usual way, then insert the tip of the left needle into the slipped stitch on the right needle. Lift the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch and drop it off the right needle.
