Triple Leaf Pattern

Here is a beautiful old-fashioned lace insertion that is agelessly graceful in any modern article of lace knitting. The stitches are increased by 2 on Row 6 and again on Row 8. and are decreased to the original number on Rows 10 and 12.

Panel of 15 sts.

Row 1 (Wrong side) and all other wrong-side rows—Purl. Row 2 Kl, yo, k2 tog, k3 tog, (yo, kl) 3 times, yo, k3 tog-b. ssk, yo, k 1.

Row 4—Kl, yo, k3 tog, yo, k7, yo, k3 tog-b, yo, kl.

Row 6—Kl, yo, k2 tog, yo, kl, yo, k2, si 2 knit wise— kl—p2sso, k2, yo, k 1, yo, ssk. yo, k 1. Row 8—Kl, yo, k2 tog, yo, k3, yo, kl, si 2 knitwise—kl—p2sso, kl, yo, k3, yo, ssk, yo, kl. Row 10—Kl. yo, (k2 log) twice, k3, yo. si 2 knitwise—kl—p2sso, yo, k3, (ssk) twice, yo, kl. Row 12—K1, yo, (k2 tog) 3 limes, (k 1, yo) twice, k 1, (ssk) 3 times, yo, kl.
