Bead 1 Place a head by taking yam to back of work and slipping head up next to st just worked, slip nc*t st purlwisc from LI I needle to Rll needle and bnng yam to front of work, leaving head sitting on RS of work in front of slipped st. Do not place beads on edge sts of work as this w ill interfere with seaming.

Cluster 3 P3tog leaving st> on l.lI needle, yo. P same 3 sts tog again and slip these sts oil' l.l I needle.

NOTE

Before starting to knit, thre.nl beads onto color B To do this, thread a fine sew ing needle (one that will easily pass through the heads) with sewing thread. Knot ends of thread and then pass end of yam through this loop. Thread a bead onto sewing thread and then gently slide it along and onto knitting yam. ( out in this way until a sufficient number of beads are on yam to complete row X.
