Knitting Cr3r

Work 3 rows, ending with RSfacingfor next row.

SHAPE SHOULDER Cast off.

With RS facing, rejoin yarn to rem sts, cast off centre 32 (32:34:34:36) sts, patt to end. Complete to match first side, reversing shapings.

FRONT

Work as given for back to **. Dec 1 st at each end of next l (3:5:7:9} rows, then on foil alt row. [60 (64:68:72: 78) sts] Work 3 (l: 1:1:1} rows, ending with RSfacingfor next row.

SHAPE FRONT NECK Next row (RS) (P2tog) 0 (1:0:0: l) times, patt 19 (19:22:24:24) sts and turn, leaving rem sts on a holder.

Work each side of neck separately. Keeping patt correct, dec 1 st at neck edge of next 10 rows, then on foil 5 alt rows.

Cont straight until front matches back to shoulder cast-off, ending with RSfacingfor next row.

SHAPE SHOULDER

Cast off.

With RS facing, rejoin yarn to rem sts, cast off centre 22 (22:24:24:26) sts, patt to last 0 (2:0:0:2) sts, (p2tOg) 0 (1:0:0: l) times. Complete to match first side, reversing shapings.

SLEEVES

Cast on 49 (51:53:55:5 /) sts using 7mm needles Rows 1&2 Purl

Beg with a Prow, cont in rev st st as foils: Work4 rows, ending with RSfacingfor next row.

SHAPE TOP

Cast off 4 sts at beg of next 2 rows.

Dec 1st at each end of next and every foil alt row until 35 sts rem.

Some patterns call for you to decrease using this method.

Insert the point of the right-hand needle into the next stitch as if you were to knit it, but instead of winding the yarn around the needle, just slip the stitch off and on to right-hand needle.
Now insert the left-hand needle into the slipped stitch on the right-hand needle and lift it over the knitted stitch.
Continue knitting to the end of the row, and your slipped stitch should look like this.

TO MAKE UP

Press as described on the ball band. Join both shoulder seams using backstitch, or mattress stitch if preferred.

NECKBAND

Cast on 16 sts using 6mm needles. Row 1 (RS) Knit,

Row 2 and every foil alt row K3, P10, K3. Row 3 K5, (C4B) twice, K3. Row 5 Knit.

Row8Asrow2.

These 8 rows form patt.

Cont in patt until neckband, when slightly stretched, fits neatly around entire front and back neck edges, ending with RS facing for next row.

Cast off in patt

Join cast-on and cast-offends of neckband, then neatly sew one row-end edge to neck edge, placing neckband seam at centre back. Sew in the sleeves using the set-in method.
