Skeining

a Wind the yarn around a board, picture frame or chair back, b Tie the two ends in an obvious knot, c Tie the skein loosely with very strong yarn, tape or strips of fabric in three or four places (Fig 1). If the skeins are very thick, tie into a figure-of-eight loop so as to split the skein.

Classy clickers... know that unravelling from the cast-on end is impossible.
