Work a Left Leaning Cable CB

C4B is the abbreviation for a left-leaning cable, which is worked over a total of 4 stitches.

1 Work to the point of the cable. Slip the next 2 stitches purlwise, but with the yarn in back, to a cable needle.

2 Hold the cable needle behind the main work (and main needles); this represents the B (for behind) in C4B.

3 Knit the next 2 stitches on the left needle.

4 Knit the 2 slipped stitches that are on the cable needle. Depending on the type of cable needle, you might find it easier to slip these stitches back to the left needle before knitting them.
