Make Gusset All Socks

1 With RS facing you, use an empty needle to knit halfway across heel sts, placing split-ring marker on last st worked, if necessary.

Note: This is the same point where the rnd ended and began when you were working the leg.

2 Using another empty needle (this will be called needle #1), knit across rem heel sts; then, using same needle, pick up and knit the number of sts specified for your size and gauge in Table 8 along right edge of heel flap. You will have on needle #1 the number of sts specified for your size and gauge in the third column of Table 8.

Note: The number of sts picked up along the edge corresponds to the number of slipped edge stitches along the side of the heel flap.

3 Using another empty needle, work across the instep sts from their needle or holder. (This set of sts will be needle #2.)
