Rows 1 and 4 (RS): K1, *p1, k1; rep from * to end of row. Rows 2 and 3 (WS): P1, *k1, p1; rep from * to end of row. Rep rows 1-4 for moss stitch.

MAKE BACK

2 Work in moss st for 4 inches, ending with a WS row.

3 Beg with a knit row, work in St st until back measures 1972 (2072, 217>) inches from CO edge, ending with a WS row.

4 Shape raglan armholes: BO 4 sts beg next 2 rows-75 (81, 87) sts.

5 Next row (RS): K1, sl1, k1, psso, k to last 3 sts, k2tog, k1-73 (79, 85) sts.

6 Next row (WS): P1, p2tog, p to last 3 sts, p2tog, p1-71 (77, 83) sts.

8 Next row (RS): K1, sl1, k1, psso, k to last 3 sts, k2tog, k1-69 (71, 73) sts.

0 Rep last 2 rows 21 times, ending with a WS row-27 (29, 31) sts.

! Cut yarn, leaving a 6-inch tail, and place rem neck sts on holder for later. @ Go to "Make Left Front," below.

MAKE LEFT FRONT

2 Work moss st edging as for back, ending with a WS row.

3 Beg with a knit row, work in St st until left front measures 197> (2072, 217>) inches from CO edge, ending with a WS row.

4 Shape raglan armhole (RS): BO 4 sts, k to end of row-39 (43, 47) sts.

5 Next row: Purl.

6 Next row (RS): K1, sl1, k1, psso, k to end of row-38 (42, 46) sts.

7 Next row: Purl to last 3 sts, p2tog, p1-37 (41, 45) sts.

8 Rep last 2 rows 0 (1, 2) times to 37 (39, 41) sts.

9 Next row (RS): K1, sl1, k1, psso, k to end of row-36 (38, 40) sts.

Q Next row (RS): Kl, sll, kl, psso, k to end of row-35 (37,39) sts.

  • Rep last 2 rows 13 times, ending with a RS row-22 (24,26) sts.
  • Beg neck shaping (WS): BO 6 (7,8) sts beg this row, purl to end of row-16 (17,18) sts.
  • Continue to shape raglan armhole, dec l st as established every RS row. AT THE SAME TIME, dec 1 st at neck edge every row 6 (7,8) times-7 (6,6) sts.
  • Cont shaping armhole only every RS row to 4 sts, ending with a WS row.
